St. Matthews Office – Opening May 2022
We are excited to announce that our St. Matthews office is officially opening on May 4th. This office is located near the intersection of Shelbyville Road & Browns Lane in the old Sears building. Our St. Matthews location will offer on-site allergy shots two days a week and appointments for new and existing patients.

Those with allergies in Louisville often find the spring season especially challenging due to the increase in tree and grass pollen throughout the region, according to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. Our new office will provide allergy and asthma care to patients looking for relief. Along with the St. Matthews office, we also have 18 other Louisville area locations.
Before our board-certified allergist develops a personalized treatment plan, patients will undergo allergy testing to understand which allergens their body is sensitive to. We offer a full range of allergy and asthma testing, including allergy skin testing, stinging insect testing, food challenges, and pulmonary function testing. While avoidance of allergens is best if that’s not enough to control symptoms, our doctors can recommend treatment plans including inhaled and oral medications, biologics, and immunotherapy (allergy shots).

Dr. Timothy Feger joined Family Allergy & Asthma in June, 1995. He has been involved with both laboratory and clinical research, is the author of several medical journal publications, including a textbook chapter pertaining to allergy and asthma. He is a member of the Kentucky Medical Association, Jefferson County Medical Society, American Medical Association, American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
Laura McElroy is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Asthma and Allergy. Her goal is to promote wellness and facilitate optimal treatment and education to allow patients to adapt to chronic health issues. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Spalding University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati.
