Dr. Douglas Lotz sees patients in our Chamberlain Center and La Grange locations.
A Louisville native, Dr. Douglas R. Lotz has dedicated his career to helping patients overcome allergies and asthma. After graduating from Ballard High School, he attended Centre College before earning his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
Dr. Lotz completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at St. Louis University School of Medicine.
With 15+ years at Family Allergy & Asthma, Dr. Lotz has served in increasingly vital leadership roles. In July 2021 he was named Medical Director for Provider Affairs. In February 2024, he was appointed Chief Medical Officer, and in January 2026, he assumed the position of Interim Chief Executive Officer. Despite his executive responsibilities, Dr. Lotz remains committed to direct patient care, continuing to see patients weekly at Louisville-area clinics. This hands-on approach keeps him deeply connected to the organization’s roots and the patient experience.
