May is typically the time of year when the allergy season kicks into full swing, and 2018 is no different. Adam Burniston from WKYT stopped by our Beaumont office in Lexington to discuss what options are available to allergy sufferers.
While over-the-counter and prescription antihistamines and nasal sprays can help treat the symptoms of allergies, Dr. Warrier suggested immunotherapy.
Allergy shots are the “tried and true best method to deal with allergies,” said Dr. Warrier. However, there are also additional options for patients who are afraid of needles. After testing, our board-certified allergists can determine if patients have allergies and discuss what treatment options are available.
