New office opening in Frankfort, KY!

Opening July 8, 2019!

We are excited to announce that we are opening a new office in Frankfort, Kentucky next month on July 8. This office will serve Franklin County and the surrounding counties of Woodford and Anderson. Located off of I-64 and Highway 60, it is in the southeastern part of the county in the Parkside Shopping Center. On-site allergy shots will be offered three days a week, and same-week appointments will be frequently available for new patients.

Allergy shots will be offered:

Monday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Wednesday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Closed for lunch: 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

Frankfort is in one of the most challenging regions to live in with allergies; our new office will provide convenient allergy and asthma care to patients looking for relief. We also have offices located nearby in Shelbyville and Lexington that are currently open, giving patients options depending on what is most convenient for them.

Allergy care often starts with allergy testing, as it is crucial to know what your body is allergic to before our allergists develop an effective treatment plan. We offer a full range of allergy and asthma testing, including allergy skin testing, stinging insect testing, food challenges, and pulmonary function testing. Our physicians also offer a variety of treatment plans to treat allergies and asthma. If medication and avoidance are not enough to control your allergies, then they may recommend immunotherapy or allergy shots.

This office will be served by three allergists, two nurse practitioners, and our trained nursing staff. All of our staff are comfortable treating both pediatric and adult patients.

Meet our physicians:

Dr. Timothy Feger is a board-certified allergist who joined Family Allergy & Asthma in 1995. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he also completed his pediatrics residency. He completed his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Jeremy Jones is a board-certified allergist and internist. He recently joined Family Allergy & Asthma but has been treating allergies and asthma since completing his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Vanderbilt University in 2008. He is also a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he also completed his internal medicine residency.

Dr. Douglas Lotz is a board-certified allergist and pediatrician. He is also a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his residency in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. From there, Dr. Lotz moved on to St. Louis to complete his Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at St. Louis University School of Medicine.
